Om Nieuwpoort en omgeving te beschermen bouwt het agentschap Maritieme Dienstverlening en Kust een stormvloedkering op de monding van de IJzer. Het project zal in 2025 volledig afgewerkt zijn. Via deze app kunnen gebruikers van de vaarweg op de hoogte blijven van stremmingen, getij, wind, golven en stroming ter hoogte van de stormvloedkering.
