The RHEUMALIS soft toy consultation hours app wants to shorten the waiting time in the outpatient clinic for children with rheumatism and teach them knowledge in a playful way. The app will be an additional conversational support for the treating physicians, which will reduce the distance, enabling both the diagnostic conversation and the explanation of medical examinations and medications in a child-friendly way. The app is playful and informative and was developed by RHEUMALIS, the Austrian patient organization for children, adolescents and young adults suffering from rheumatism, together with experienced (pediatric) rheumatologists and experts for online platforms for playful knowledge transfer. Theo Tiger, the main character of the new RHEUMALIS book (Der Löwen-Alles-Tiger) leads through the RHEUMALIS stuffed animal clinic app. The "stuffed animal consultation hour" is already a tried-and-tested concept that makes the children happy every year during the RHEUMALIS therapy weeks and makes it easier for the pediatric rheumatologists involved to talk to their little patients about the disease: Since children don't like to be in front of the doctor *inside addressing their individual grievances and problems, they come with a stuffed animal and tell their grievances and problems. This not only reduces distance in a playful way, but also makes it possible to work much more specifically on the diagnosis by making pain points and areas of inflammation visible in a playful way. The explanation of examination methods and the use of pens is explained beforehand on the stuffed animal without fear. Disclaimer: Using this app does not replace a visit to a doctor.
