Stitch Planner is a cross stitch calculator that answers the three questions every stitcher asks before starting a project: What size will this be? How much floss do I need? How long will it take? FABRIC SIZE Enter your design's stitch count and your fabric (Aida count, or Linen/Evenweave with over-1 or over-2 stitching), plus a margin for hooping or framing. Get the finished design size and the fabric size to buy, in inches or centimeters. Compare a few common counts side by side before you decide which fabric to buy. FLOSS (SKEINS NEEDED) Add each thread color's stitch count and see how many skeins to buy, based on your fabric count and strand count. Always shown as an estimate, because real usage varies with tension and technique — buy a spare skein and stitch with confidence. TIME ESTIMATE Enter your pace (or pick Beginner / Average / Experienced) and hours per day to see a realistic time range and an estimated finish date, so a big project doesn't feel like an open-ended commitment. PROJECTS Save any calculation as a named project, come back to it later, and edit it without retyping your numbers. Fully offline.
