BUILT FOR HANDS THAT DON'T ALWAYS COOPERATE Most communication apps assume an accurate touch. SteadyTouch doesn't. Gap-touch assistance resolves a near miss on its own, and a clear, direct selection is always honored exactly as made. Tiles hold their positions as vocabulary grows, so motor learning is never undone by an update. THIRTY-SEVEN VOICES, ALL ON-DEVICE SteadyTouch brings its own voices, including child and teenager voices iOS does not offer — so a young communicator never has to speak in an adult's voice. They are built into the app, run entirely on the device, and need no internet and no account. Nothing anyone says is sent anywhere to be spoken. My Voice speaks tiles, the composed message, and anything typed. A separate narrator voice reads Stories & Learning, so a lesson sounds like someone reading to the learner rather than the learner reading to themselves. Prefer Apple's voices? In Caregiver settings, open App and turn off "Use SteadyTouch voices" to use the Apple voices installed on the device instead. SteadyTouch then links you straight to Apple's Enhanced and Premium downloads — Settings, Accessibility, Spoken Content, Voices, English. The speaking pace applies to either choice.
