Store description excerpt
StageRing turns a phone into a theatrical prop that a show operator controls remotely. Built for live theater and film sets, it plays sounds at full volume, vibrates, flashes the screen or flashlight, and stages a realistic fake incoming call or text-message conversation on cue. Everything runs on your local show network. No cloud, no accounts, fully offline. TWO WAYS TO CONTROL IT • Web interface: the phone serves its own control page. Open the phone's address on any laptop or tablet, log in with the device PIN, upload sounds by drag and drop, build cues, and hit GO. • OSC: trigger cues straight from QLab, ETC Eos, or any OSC-capable console over UDP or TCP. The phone advertises itself over Bonjour, so QLab's network patch lists it automatically. CUES A cue is a named bundle of actions that fire together on GO: • Play a sound with per-cue volume, loop, and fade-out • Force system media volume • Vibrate • Wake or flash the screen • Blink the flashlight • Fake incoming call: ringtone plus a realistic call screen, and answering plays a voice recording • Fake text conversation with scheduled incoming messages MADE FOR THE STAGE All calls, messages, and contacts are simulated inside the app. StageRing never sends real calls or texts, and it collects no data. Hand the phone to the actor and run the show from the booth.
