Store description excerpt
Draft eleven players. Win four knockout rounds. Lose once and it's over. Squad is a football roguelike with no second chances. Each run drops you into a draft where clubs are dealt at random — you might get Liverpool, you might get Angers. Pick one player per round, place them on the pitch, and build an XI out of whatever the draw gives you. Then the bracket begins. Round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinal, final. Four wins for the title. One defeat and the run is gone — squad, stats, everything. WHAT MAKES A RUN • A draft of 11 rounds, one club drawn per round • Nine formations, from 4-3-3 to 5-4-1, chosen before the first pick • Five rerolls per run when the club you drew has nothing you need • Real clubs from the top five European leagues, plus elite sides from the rest of the world THE MATCHES DECIDE THEMSELVES Every result comes from a machine learning model trained on the strength of both sides. It runs on your device, in a match you watch play out minute by minute — goals arrive when they arrive, and a penalty shootout is always on the table. Favourites win about seven times in ten. The other three are why the run ends. Speed it up, slow it down, or jump straight to the final whistle. HARDCORE Turn it on and player ratings are hidden during the draft. You pick on name and position alone. NO ACCOUNT, NO INTERNET, NO ADS Squad works entirely offline. Nothing is collected, nothing is uploaded, nothing is sold. Your record lives on your phone.
