Store description excerpt

A reference of everyday SQL, from a first SELECT to window functions. Every query is written out in full, explained, and most of them run right here against a practice database. • 39 sections: filtering, sorting, calculated fields, functions, GROUP BY, window functions, subqueries, JOIN, UNION, INSERT and UPDATE, data types, tables, views. • Run in the app: 111 queries execute against a live practice database and the result table appears under the query. Needs an internet connection. • Dialects side by side: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, MS SQL Server, Oracle, Firebird, Access. Where they differ, each one is shown separately. • The practice database is the classic world dataset: countries, cities, languages. The tables are described in the app. • Edit any query and run it again; one tap brings the original back. • Add your own queries - they are stored in the app and turn up in the same search. • Search by section name or by a fragment of a query. • Everything except running works offline. No account needed. • Interface in 15 languages. WHAT THE FREE VERSION INCLUDES 12 runs, 12 edits and 12 keyword lookups a day - the counters refill every morning. 5 queries of your own. Copying is blocked in the free app after five attempts. The full version removes the limits and raises runs to 80 queries a day. One purchase, no subscription. Built by a developer for developers. In development since 2015.
