Sporlyst Tracker turns your phone into the tracking unit for your race. Scan the QR code your organizer sends you, press start, and put the phone away, your position goes to race control and onto the event's live map until you cross the line. REQUIRES A CODE FROM YOUR RACE ORGANIZER This app is not a standalone activity recorder. It only works with a tracking code issued for a specific event, delivered as a QR code or link. If your organizer does not use Sporlyst, this app will not do anything for you. HOW IT WORKS 1. Scan the QR code from your organizer, or import a screenshot of it from your photo library. 2. Press start at the start line. 3. Ride, run, or paddle. Stop tracking when you finish. BUILT FOR A FULL RACE DAY • Runs in the background with the screen off, phone in a pocket or frame bag, app closed. • Battery-aware. Your battery level travels with each position report, so race control can tell a fading phone from a rider in trouble. Below 20% the app tells race control why, then stops itself so your phone survives to the finish. WHAT YOU SEE WHILE RACING • Elapsed time, distance covered, and current speed. • Your next cutoff, the distance remaining to it, and whether you are ahead of it. • A projected finish time based on how you are actually moving. • Your route, detected automatically, with a manual override if officials move you. SOS One button sends an emergency alert with your exact position and bib straight to the organizer's control room. If you have no signal it queues and goes the moment you do, and it tells you when it has been delivered. You can cancel it if you pressed it by mistake. FOR SUPPORT CREWS Assist vehicles get their own mode. Sign in with your callsign, go on duty, and the control room can see where you are when they need to route you to a rider. Support vehicle positions are visible to the organizer only, never on the public map. PRIVACY • Location is collected only while a tracking session you started is running. Stop tracking or sign out and collection ends immediately. • During the event your position, name, and bib appear on the event's public live map, so spectators and family can follow the race. Your result is published afterwards. • Only real satellite fixes are ever sent. The app never estimates, smooths, or invents a position you were not at. • No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no data sold to anyone. • Importing a QR screenshot is handled entirely on your device. The app has no access to your photo library and never uploads an image. IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE Live positions and control-room alerts are estimates derived from intermittent GPS reports. Positions can be minutes old. Phones lose signal and run out of battery, and mobile coverage fails in exactly the remote terrain where help is hardest to reach.
