Split Video lets you divide any video into precisely timed clips and save each one to your photo library — all without leaving the Photos app. HOW IT WORKS Share any video from Photos, Files, or any app using the iOS Share Sheet and choose "Split Video: Precise Cuts." A visual timeline editor opens where you can scrub to any moment and tap Cut to mark a split point. Add up to 30 cut points, then tap Done to export every segment to Photos in one step. TIMELINE EDITOR • Centered scrolling playhead — scrub your video with a swipe • Pinch to zoom the timeline for frame-level precision • Cut points snap magnetically to nearby strikes so adjustments are always clean • Undo any cut instantly ORIGINAL QUALITY By default, Split Video copies your video's compressed bitstream byte-for-byte. No re-encoding means no generation loss — your clips come out at the exact same quality as the original. A Precise mode (opt-in) re-encodes for frame-accurate cuts when you need them. METADATA PRESERVED Exported clips carry over your original video's capture location, creation date, and Favorites status. Each clip's timestamp is offset to reflect when in real time it was recorded. IN-APP LIBRARY Open the Split Video app to browse all your videos in a clean grid. Sort by date captured or recently added, filter to Favorites, and tap any video to edit it without going through the Share Sheet. FREE FOR CASUAL USE (BUT COFFEE IS APPRECIATED) The free tier includes 5 exported clips per calendar month — enough to use it in a pinch. A single one-time purchase of Split Video Premium removes the limit permanently. No subscription, no recurring charges. To restore a previous purchase, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. PRIVACY Split Video reads your photo library only to let you browse and export videos you choose. No video data is transmitted to any server. All processing happens entirely on your device.
