SpendJar helps your children keep track of their money without having to setup their own bank account. Each budget is a jar with its own name, colour and icon, Summer Trip, Games, New Bike, whatever they're saving for. The jar fills up when you add money and empties as they spend, so "how much have I got left?" is answered at a glance instead of guessed. HOW IT WORKS Your child can: • See every jar and what's left in each one • Spend from a jar by entering an amount • Look back at what they've spent and when Your child cannot: • Add money to any jar • Change a jar's name, colour or icon • Create or delete jars Only the PIN-protected parent area can do those things. Adding money is always your decision, which is rather the point, they learn to spend down a fixed amount rather than topping themselves up. FOR PARENTS • Create as many jars as you like, each with a starting amount • Add funds whenever pocket money is due • Rename, recolour or delete jars at any time • Review full spending history per jar • Change your PIN whenever you want If you forget your PIN, a one-time recovery code, shown once when you first set up and saved somewhere safe lets you set a new one.
