Test your internet speed and diagnose your connection in plain language. SpeedTest by Hostragons measures download and upload speed, ping, jitter, packet loss, and bufferbloat, helping you understand if your line is as fast as your provider promised. Run a Wi-Fi speed test or mobile data speed test with several parallel connections—choose from 1, 4, 8, or 16 streams—and set the test length between 5 and 20 seconds. Limit data usage per test to 25, 50, 100, or 200 MB for flexibility. Every speed test measures idle latency, latency under load, jitter, and packet loss, giving you a bufferbloat grade from A+ to F based on how much latency increases while busy. After each measurement, SpeedTest by Hostragons explains the likely bottleneck in plain language: is it the line, a weak Wi-Fi link, the crowded 2.4 GHz band, the modem’s queue management, or a distant server? You’ll see what your connection handles comfortably—4K video, video calls, online gaming, live streaming, and working from home. Compare your measured speeds with the plan speed you type in, so you always know if your internet is as fast as promised. The separate site test checks any web address for DNS lookup, TCP connect, TLS handshake, server response time, and time to first byte (TTFB). It splits connection setup from server time, so you won’t blame a website for a slow line. The site test also reports HTTP status, protocol, redirects, page size, server, CDN, compression, TLS version, SSL certificate issuer, days left before expiry, and six security headers with a security score. All results are stored on your device with averages and a trend chart. Export your results as a CSV file or PDF report. See connection details like Wi-Fi, mobile, Ethernet, or VPN, the Wi-Fi band (2.4 or 5 GHz), signal strength, and data used. SpeedTest by Hostragons is free with ads—no account or sign-up needed, and no location permission requested. Your results stay on your phone unless you choose to share them. The interface is available in 71 languages. An optional yearly Pro subscription removes ads, keeps up to 2,000 measurements, raises test limits to 60 seconds, 1 GB, and 32 streams, and unlocks a period report as PDF and monitoring mode for automatic tests every 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes while the app is open. Pro renews yearly and is managed in Google Play. SpeedTest by Hostragons asks for consent before personalized ads in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and lets covered US users refuse sale or sharing of their data. Ads and privacy: In the free version, Google Mobile Ads SDK may process ad/device IDs, IP-based approximate location, app interactions, and diagnostic/performance data for ads, measurement/analytics, and fraud prevention. No GPS/location permission or account is required. Pro makes no ad requests.
