Store description excerpt
Specialty Atlas – the whole world of specialty coffee in one app. Most coffee apps stop at the map. Specialty Atlas is the map, plus roasters, beans, events, recipes and people, and here it's all connected. A MAP WITH NOTHING BUT SPECIALTY Every café and roaster is vetted before it lands on the map, so you never have to wade through mediocre chains. Filter by brew method, by what's on the bar today, or by roaster. You can also find places that are good for working, dog-friendly or have outdoor seating. ATLAS LAB – BEANS MATCHED TO YOUR TASTE Answer a few questions and Lab builds your taste profile: acidity, body, sweetness, roast level, how you brew, and the notes you never want in your cup. It then scores every bean in the app against that profile, using the language of the SCA flavor wheel, and tells you why it's a match. Rate what you drink and every match gets sharper. Prefer to explore your own way? Switch the profile off and filter manually. COFFEE PASSPORT – VISITS THAT STICK Scan the QR code at the bar, or rate a café while you're there, and your visit becomes a stamp in your coffee passport. Every city has its own one-of-a-kind design. COFFEE MILES, LEVELS AND BADGES You earn Coffee Miles for visits, comments, brews, ratings, recipes and keeping venue info up to date. Each level comes with its own stamp, and badges mark your milestones. Nothing trickles in just for opening the app. ON THE BAR TODAY See exactly what every café is pouring and filter by roaster, origin and process. Get notified when the bean you're hunting for shows up nearby. BREWING AND RECIPES Recipes from champions, roasters and the community, filtered for your gear, your grinder and your taste. The player walks you through each step with a countdown timer. The dial-in assistant helps you nail your espresso. Your brew journal remembers every cup, keeps your streak alive and shows you what worked. EDU CORNER An offline knowledge base covering processing, equipment and terminology. It's linked straight from the beans and recipes that use those terms. EVENTS AND CUPPINGS Cuppings, workshops and festivals, right on the map. Keep up with the best coffee events near you. There's always something new to learn. PEOPLE Add friends with a QR code and share recipes with just them. Talk about a café or roaster in its own thread, where owners reply too. Rate each visit on its own and highlight what stood out. FREE, AND IN YOUR LANGUAGE The app is free and speaks sixteen languages: English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Ukrainian, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Japanese. FOR CAFÉS AND ROASTERS Specialty Atlas Business is your side of the app: beans on the bar, events, your QR code and stamp, your own recipes, replies in Buzz, and the numbers behind it all.
