Store description excerpt

Spearfishing Copilot answers one question: where and when should I dive? It is not a weather app with a fish on it. It reads marine forecast data for the spots near you — swell height and period, wind, current, water temperature, rainfall over the past 48 hours and the depth of the seabed — and turns it into a single dive score from 0 to 100, a best time window, and an expected visibility range. THE SCORE IS DETERMINISTIC The same inputs always produce the same number, with fixed weights: visibility 30%, wind 20%, swell height 15%, swell period 10%, current 10%, water temperature 5%, rain and runoff 5%, and your own history at that spot 5%. Nothing is generated, guessed or smoothed to look better than it is. Every score opens up to show which factor cost it what. VISIBILITY IS A RANGE, NOT A PROMISE The estimate starts from a clear-water baseline and subtracts what actually spoils it: swell stirring the bottom, short-period chop, wind, runoff after rain, and shallow seabed. Because the inputs are forecasts, the answer is a range with a confidence — not a single number pretending to a precision it does not have. HOUR BY HOUR Forty-eight hours of scores for every spot, so you can see the window open and close rather than being told a single verdict for the day. YOUR LOG MAKES IT YOURS Log a dive in about ten seconds: depth, the visibility you actually saw, what you took, a note. The app keeps what it predicted alongside what you report, so you can see when it was wrong — and your history at a spot feeds back into future scores. ASK IT IN PLAIN LANGUAGE The copilot answers questions like "where should I dive tomorrow morning?" from the same scores you see on the Today screen. It can explain a number. It cannot invent one. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Your spots, dive locations, catches and photos are yours. Private is the default state, not a setting you have to find, and the rule is enforced on the server rather than just hidden in the interface. Nothing is shared without an explicit action from you. WHAT YOU GET • A dive score and best window for every spot near you • Expected visibility as a range, with the reasons behind it • Forty-eight hours of hourly scores per spot • A map of curated sites plus your own private marks • A fast dive log with species, depth, photos and conditions • Works offline: your spots and log live on the device, and sync when you have signal SAFETY Spearfishing Copilot describes conditions that appear favourable based on forecast data. It is not a safety device and it cannot see the water. Forecasts are wrong sometimes and conditions vary within a few hundred metres. Always verify actual sea conditions before entering, dive within your training, and never dive alone. Marine and weather data from Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0).
