Bid carefully, because Spades are always trump, and every decision affects your team’s score. Win tricks, avoid penalty bags, and build strategy across multiple hands in competitive online matches. - About the Game Spades is played with a standard 52-card deck by four players divided into two partnerships. Each hand begins with a bidding phase where players estimate how many tricks (“books”) they expect to win. Teams must cooperate and plan their play to achieve their combined bid. Players must follow the suit led if possible. The highest card of that suit wins the trick unless a Spade is played. Spades act as the trump suit and override all other suits, with the highest Spade taking the trick.
