Store description excerpt
Trace a word with your finger and the blocks burst. SORTS is a word puzzle set in a printer's library. Drag across touching letter blocks to spell a word, and any real word of three letters or more scores the moment you let go. No tray, no tapping, no strikes. Scored blocks burst, the grid falls and refills, and matching inks chain into cascades that grow the longer they run. SIX ENGRAVED WORLDS, 600 LEVELS Every book is a world you walk through, drawn as an engraving. The road climbs past cottages, orchards and harbours, the water moves, the lamps glow, and the level numbers sit on the path. A fog hides what you have not reached and parts as you go, while your own little sort walks the road ahead of it. Book One. A Pocketful of North. One hero, one creaky map, one treasure at the edge of the world. Book Two. The Hungry Spoon. A kitchen wakes before dawn to cook the town a feast. Book Three. Harbour Lights. Every boat has a secret, and the tide is bad at keeping them. Book Four. The Moon's Spare Key. The moon leaves you the key to the sky, a constellation at a time. Book Five. The Tinker's Drawer. A drawer of odd parts that means to build something wonderful. Book Six. The Turning Year. A whole year walked from first green to harvest home. Four chapters a book, each sealed by a page gate you break open by hand. A book opens when you finish the one before it, and finishing is always free. An optional early copy opens a book you have not reached yet, for coins you earn by playing. Finishing the book before it always opens it for nothing. THE OPEN SHELF Home is not a menu. It is a library you descend: your books on the Shelf, the daily gazette and the Endless tome in the Parlour, duels in the Composing Room, and the Forbidden Section behind a velvet rope. PLAY EVERY DAY The Daily Edition. One puzzle, the same for everybody, with a streak to keep. Plus gifts, quests and Endless, a countdown you extend with every word. THE COMPOSITOR'S CABINET A letterpress match-3, the game compositors played after hours. Swap touching sorts to line up three of one ink, then print the best word your cleared letters can spell for double score. Unlock it with coins you earn, or take it with the Pass. Ten of Book Three's levels are parlour nights on the Cabinet, free to all. DUEL IN THE SAME ROOM, FREE FOR EVERYONE Two phones, one table, no internet. Sixty seconds, the same board, a rematch on the spot, and a rivalry record worth scarce titles. FRIENDS, GUILDS AND BOARDS Add the people you play with, see what they are reading, and send coins and cheers. Up to five of you pool weekly points in a guild and open a new Forbidden Section volume every Monday. Game Center boards for the campaign, the daily, Endless, the Cabinet and duels won, plus widgets and a Lock Screen streak. PLAYS ANYWHERE The campaign, the Daily Edition and the duels all run with no internet. Coins, boosters, titles, your books and your stars are kept in iCloud, so a new phone picks up where yo
