Soniclyze turns your iPhone and iPad into a professional sound measurement toolkit — and the core is free. Measure SPL, analyze frequency response in real time, inspect audio files, detect feedback, and export clean reports. No external audio interface required. Algorithms are implemented with reference to IEC, ISO, ASTM, and ITU-R standards. For noise & environmental monitoring Long-duration sound level measurement with A/C/Z weighting and Fast/Slow/Impulse time constants. Full statistics: Leq, Lmax, Lmin, Lpeak, L10, L50, L90, and SEL. Adaptive noise-event detection logs each event's level, duration, and rise/fall rate. NIOSH/OSHA noise-exposure dose for occupational settings, and automatic zone-limit assessment per GB 3096-2008. If a call or Siri interrupts a measurement, Soniclyze pauses and marks the interrupted interval automatically, then lets you continue. For live sound engineers High-resolution real-time spectrum analysis (standard ~11.7 Hz; EPPO low-frequency mode down to ~0.73 Hz, FFT up to 65536). Octave-band resolution from 1/1 to 1/24. Six window functions including Flat-Top for pure-tone amplitude work. Real-time feedback detection. Microphone sensitivity correction (via known mV/Pa spec, optional 94 dB reference calibrator). Five built-in industry reference room-correction target curves spanning cinema, broadcast, and home-theater traditions, plus A/B/C/D snapshot comparison for before/after tuning. For broadcast, podcast & mastering Loudness and true-peak analysis (Integrated / Short-term / Momentary LUFS, LRA, 4x oversampled true peak), with compliance checks against 11 industry loudness targets spanning broadcast (EBU R128, ATSC A/85), streaming, podcast, cinema, and CD mastering. Anomaly detection for DC offset, clipping, spectral notches, transcoding artifacts, and band limiting. Multi-band phase/polarity inversion analysis (8-band + full-band) and mono compatibility. Play and analyze at once: waveform, spectrum, and waterfall views stay in sync as you audition. Toolbox Signal generator, parametric EQ designer, FIR filter designer, acoustic calculators, and frequency-response export. Free & Pro Free includes real-time analysis (RTA), sound level metering (SPL), and audio file analysis. Pro unlocks unlimited-duration measurement, advanced modules, and PDF/CSV/JSON report export. Pro also syncs your measurement records across iPhone, iPad, and Mac through your own private iCloud database, with location data and the names you enter stored using end-to-end encryption.
