SoK’ari is a fun and educational mobile application intended for diabetics. It offers a self-monitoring diary, graphical visualization, as well as a visual food database to help patients determine the composition of their meals and provide nutritional advice to maintain a balanced diet. The app also offers various menu and recipe options and choices. Gamification allows users to track their blood sugar progress in a simple and fun way by having the mascot cycle through the different daily meals and snacks. We offer a section of low-carbohydrate recipes with a low glycemic index, as well as specific menus for Ramadan, allowing diabetics to vary their diet. Celiac disease patients can find information on the amount of carbohydrates and glycemic index of each gluten-free food. An “Advice” section offers recommendations regarding injection areas to prevent skin fibrosis, advice for resugaring in the event of hypoglycemia, as well as information on what to avoid in the event of hyperglycemia. . This section also discusses conventional medicine, including herbal medicine, and its benefits for people with diabetes.
