Snuggy is a free daily check-in app for people who live alone — and for the people who worry about them. Tap once a day to say you are okay. If you miss it, Snuggy tells the person you chose and asks them to look in on you. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DO NOT CHECK IN Snuggy reminds you before your chosen time, and again if you forget. If you still have not checked in, your contact is told — and asked to look in on you. With Premium, Snuggy rings your own phone first, in case you simply forgot. Only if you still do not check in is anybody else contacted. Most missed check-ins are a forgotten tap, and this is what keeps your family from being frightened over nothing. WHAT IS FREE, AND WHAT IS NOT Free, with no time limit: the daily check-in itself, reminders before your time, an email to your contact if you miss one, and test alerts so you can prove it works. Premium adds the phone calls and text messages: a call to you first, then a text and a phone call to your contact. An email can sit unread all day. A ringing phone does not. NOTES FOR WHOEVER COMES TO HELP Your medication, where the spare key is, how to look after your pet — the things an ambulance crew or a neighbour would need to know and would otherwise have to guess. YOUR OWN REMINDERS Tablets in the morning, feeding the dog, an appointment on Thursday. And a short encouraging line waiting for you each day. SETTING IT UP FOR YOUR MOTHER OR FATHER Snuggy works that way too. Pair the two phones, add their reminders, see whether they have checked in today, and be told if they have not. MADE FOR OLDER EYES AND HANDS Large text, one question per screen, and nothing to wear, nothing to charge, no call centre. QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK Is Snuggy free? Yes. The daily check-in and an email to your contact cost nothing and never expire. Texts and phone calls are the paid part. What if I forget to check in? Your contact is told and asked to look in on you. With Premium, Snuggy rings you first so a forgotten tap does not frighten anybody. Who gets told? Only the person you choose. Nobody else, ever. Do I have to wear anything? No. No pendant, no bracelet, no charging. Does it call an ambulance? No. Snuggy tells a person you trust. There is also a red SOS button that opens 911 on your phone and alerts your contact at once. What if I have nobody to add? Snuggy will still remind you, but there will be nobody to tell. It works best with at least one contact. Premium: unlimited check-ins, unlimited reminders, notes for whoever comes to help, and unlimited test alerts. A payment will be charged to your Apple Account as soon as you confirm your purchase. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal from your Account Settings after the purchase. Your subscription will renew automatically, unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
