Snug is a cozy little app for two people to share the small stuff every day: how you are feeling, a note, a photo, a doodle, a question, a game, a bonsai to water together, a pet to feed together, a home to slowly decorate. Everything happens between your two devices. There is no account, no email, no password. There is no server of ours. There are no ads. There is no tracking. Snug never asks for your data because Snug never sees it. Sync is end-to-end encrypted with a key derived from your private couple code, so the messaging relay we use only sees ciphertext. Snug is free. Everything in the app is free. The games are free, the decor is free, the sync is free. There are no in-app purchases and there is no subscription. WHAT YOU CAN DO TOGETHER Share how your day is going, in real time. Set a mood from sixteen pre-made ones or make your own. Add a few words. Your partner sees it a heartbeat later. Send love notes, hugs, and kisses. Little touches for the middle of a workday. Envelopes stay sealed until your partner opens them. Write a diary, one page a day. Snug asks the two of you the same question every day, hides your answers until you have both replied, then reveals them side by side. Keep talking in the thread underneath. A year of pages is kept. Play four games together, all free. - Doodle and guess: one of you gets a word, the other tries to guess what you drew. - Know each other: themed rounds of six questions where you answer about yourself and guess for your partner. - Four in a row: async, turn-based, with a win ledger. - Treasure hunt: hide a treasure on a five-by-five grid, your partner has five tries to find it. Grow a bonsai together. Water it every day, feed it fertilizer, pick a pot, give it a name. It grows through eight stages. Adopt a pixel pet. A cat or a dog, in four coat variants. Feed it and play with it. If you both forget it, it misses you. Build your little home. Earn stars from all your daily activities and buy pixel-art decor: sofas, rugs, walls, floor stains, wall paint, a book shelf, a moon lamp, a monstera, a retro TV, and more. Rearrange whenever you like. Set the mood. Six ambient soundtracks (rain, forest, lofi, lullaby, dawn, comfy) generated live in the app. Whichever one of you picks a track, the other's device starts playing it too. Track photos. Little moments, framed on your wall, syncing quietly to your partner through the encrypted relay. Countdowns and a shared movie list. For birthdays, anniversaries, the next trip, and the things you keep meaning to watch together. WHY SNUG IS DIFFERENT Snug is a static page that installs like any other app. Your data lives on your device. Your partner's data lives on theirs. The two devices sync through a small open source messaging relay called ntfy, which we do not run and which only ever sees encrypted bytes.
