Fit every piece into the shape. An egg, a rocket, a dinosaur — each one is a puzzle waiting to be put back together. TURNING IT ROUND IN YOUR HEAD This is the skill the game is really about. Picking up a piece and working out which way it needs to face before you move it is genuinely hard at five or six, and it's one of the best things a young child can practise. The first puzzles hand you every piece already the right way up, so all you have to think about is where. Later ones don't. DESIGNED FOR SMALL HANDS • Drag a piece to place it. Tap it to turn it. That's the whole game • Pieces snap to the grid, so close enough is always good enough • While you drag, the squares underneath light up green where the piece will fit and red where it won't — you can see the answer before you let go • Dropping a piece in the wrong place costs nothing; it just goes back • Tap a piece you've already placed to take it out again • No score, no lives, no timer A HINT THAT DOESN'T JUST DO IT FOR YOU Tap the lightbulb and it outlines where one piece belongs — in that piece's own colour, and the right way round. Your child still has to find it in the tray, turn it to match, and drag it over. The outline stays put for as long as they need it. Still stuck? Tap the bulb again and it goes in by itself. Help that grows to fit the child. THREE SIZES TO GROW INTO • Little — a few big pieces, and nothing needs turning • Middle — more pieces, and now they arrive at odd angles • Grand — the full shape, eight pieces, a proper puzzle • Surprise Me! cuts up a brand new shape whenever you want one THE PIECES ALWAYS FIT Every puzzle is made by cutting a picture into pieces, so a solution is guaranteed to exist. Before a puzzle is ever shown, it's checked: every piece connected, the pieces adding up to exactly the space available, and the whole thing fitting back together with nothing left over. QUIET BY DESIGN • No advertising of any kind • No in-app purchases • No internet connection required — it works in airplane mode • No accounts, no sign-in, no email address • Nothing is collected and nothing leaves the device • Gentle sounds that can be switched off FOR PARENTS Turn on Guided Access (Settings › Accessibility) and the device stays in Snapasaurus until you enter your passcode. There is no browser, no store, and no way out of the app. Works on iPhone and iPad. Made by a dad, for his six-year-old.
