Smart LOTO is a digital lockout-tagout system built for cement, steel, power, and other industrial plants. It replaces paper LOTO with Bluetooth-enabled smart padlocks, photo evidence, and a defensible audit trail that integrates directly with your Permit-to-Work system. Smart LOTO is provisioned for plant workers by their organisation. You will need credentials issued by your plant safety administrator to sign in. WHAT IT DOES ▸ Apply isolations safely Bind smart padlocks to specific equipment via QR scan, place the lock, capture a photo for the audit log. The app verifies the right lock is on the right point. ▸ Coordinate the team Initiators (PAs) assign technicians, verify work completion, and authorise de-isolation. Each handoff is captured in the audit log with timestamps and identities. ▸ Worker check-in with face-ID Technicians check in to active permits using on-device face recognition with a head-turn liveness check, ensuring it's the right worker on site (not a coworker covering for someone). ▸ Shared lockouts (SIMOPS) When two permits cover the same equipment, only one physical lock is required. The app handles ownership transfer automatically when one permit completes — workers stay safe on both jobs without redundant locks. ▸ De-isolate when authorised Once the Permit-to-Work system authorises de-isolation, the app guides the isolator through removing each lock with photo evidence. Bluetooth confirms the shackle has opened; the audit log captures everything. ▸ Real-time PTW sync Every state change (isolation complete, work verified, de-isolation done) is sent to your Permit-to-Work system in real time, eliminating the paper-based reconciliation step. WHY IT MATTERS Industrial-safety regulations require defensible evidence that lockout procedures were followed correctly — who locked what equipment, when, with what padlock, and that the same person removed it after work was verified complete. Smart LOTO replaces hand-written tags and informal handovers with a tamper-evident digital record that holds up to safety audit and incident investigation.
