Store description excerpt

Which aircraft are you about to board? SkyMetric answers with figures, not impressions. A SCORE OUT OF 100 Every airliner type receives a reliability score built on three measures: fatal accidents relative to flights performed, hull losses, and events over the last ten years. Acts of sabotage and collisions caused by third parties stay visible on the maps, but never count against the aircraft: they say nothing about the machine. YOUR EXACT AIRCRAFT Type in the registration painted on the fuselage - or scan it with the camera - and pull up the record for your airframe: exact variant, year of manufacture, airframe age, operator, administrative status. More than 22,000 real aircraft, drawn from the official FAA registry and the OpenSky database. 29 TYPES, 111 AIRLINES From the A320 to the 747, from the Dash 8 to the C919: every type has its full record, its illustrated history, its key figures, its charts and its accident map with detailed callouts. Pick your airline, select your aircraft, explore its past. Types too recent to be judged are marked "unrated" rather than falsely perfect. BUILT TO BE HONEST No account, no advertising, no data collection whatsoever. The methodology is spelled out plainly inside the app, and so are its limits: no public source publishes an aircraft's maintenance status, and SkyMetric says so rather than letting you assume otherwise. Available in English and French, on iPhone and iPad. Flying remains, by a very wide margin, the safest way to travel. You may as well know why.
