Skanna turns paper into clean, readable PDFs on your phone. Most scanners tell you a file is saved the moment the bytes are written. Skanna reopens the finished PDF, checks that the page count is right and renders every page before it reports success. If a file cannot be verified it is removed and your scan is kept untouched, so you are never left holding a document that will not open. Everything happens on your device. There is no account to create, no cloud storage and no advertising. SCANNING Point the camera at a page and the outline is tracked live. Automatic capture waits until the page is steady, fully in frame and in focus, and it looks for text or a blank sheet first, so fewer picture frames and windows are photographed by mistake. It takes one photo per page rather than a burst of near-identical shots. Manual capture is always available, and automatic capture can be switched off without losing page detection or cropping. You can also bring in a page from a photo you already have. CROPPING AND EDITING Corners are found for you and can be dragged as often as you like. Perspective correction squares up a page photographed at an angle. There are colour, grayscale and black-and-white modes, a handwriting mode that keeps pencil and ballpoint legible, and manual brightness, contrast and sharpening. Your original capture is never modified, so you can always start again. REDACTION Drag over anything you would rather not share and it is covered, in black, white, or a colour sampled from the page so it blends in. Redactions are applied to the exported file. DOCUMENTS A document holds as many pages as you need. Pages can be reordered, rotated, deleted or retaken, and you can export the whole document or only the pages you select. Every page is saved the moment it is captured, so an interrupted scan loses nothing; if the app closes part-way through it offers to carry on where you left off. Deleted documents wait 30 days before they are removed for good. SAVING AND SHARING Export as a multi-page PDF or as numbered JPEG files, at small, balanced or high quality. Files are written to Documents/Skanna or any folder you choose, and the location is shown in plain language rather than a system identifier. Exporting the same document again replaces the earlier file instead of leaving copies behind. Saving and sharing are separate actions, so nothing is sent anywhere by accident. PRIVACY The camera is the only permission you are asked for. Importing images, choosing folders and sharing all use Android's own system pickers, which give the app access only to the item you select. Network access is present because Google Play handles the optional purchase. Scans are stored in the app's private storage and are not uploaded to AVRTEC. PRICE Skanna is free to try: ten documents of up to twenty pages each, with no time limit and no card required. Unlimited scanning is a single one-time purchase.
