Over1500 single drugs find a mention in the classical literature of Unani medicine, majority of them being of plant origin. Rest comprise of drugs of mineral and animal origin. Around 342 species have wide application in Unani medicine. The selection of drugs for treatment is governed by the temperament of the drug, actions of the drugs, and type of the disease. The use of single drugs and their combination in raw form is preferred to the use of compound formulations. Unani medicine has a rich collection of information on single drugs which are documented in the classical texts as well as Unani Pharmacopoeia. This mobile application has been created with the objective of providing hands on information on single drugs, their temperament, uses, important formulations and dosage to Unani professionals and other stakeholders.
