Simple Expenses opens on a keypad. Type the amount, tap a category, save. That is the whole app. No account. No sign-in. No syncing. Nothing you record ever leaves your phone. RECORD IN SECONDS • The keypad is the first screen — no menu to open, no form to fill in • The category you used last is already selected, so the usual case is one tap fewer • Add a note or back-date an entry from the two chips above the keypad • Home screen quick actions jump straight to Add expense or Add income A MONTH THAT MATCHES YOUR PAYDAY • Close the cycle yourself on the day you are paid, whenever that falls • Whatever is left over is carried into the new cycle for you — and you can type a different figure if the app has drifted from the cash you actually have • Forget to close one and it closes itself at the end of the month, so nothing runs on forever • Every closed cycle keeps its own totals to step back to SEE WHERE IT WENT • Entries are grouped by day, each day carrying its own total • Swipe to delete, with five seconds to undo if you did not mean it • The cycle summary ranks every category and shows its share of the total • Step back through earlier cycles from either screen MAKE IT YOURS • Create, rename, reorder and hide categories, each with its own emoji and colour • Hiding a category keeps it off the keypad without touching entries you already recorded • Pick your currency from the full ISO list • Light, dark, or follow the device PRIVATE BY DESIGN There is no network code in this app at all — no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party SDKs, and no permissions to grant. Your entries live in a database on your device and nowhere else. One thing worth knowing: because nothing is uploaded anywhere, your entries are only as safe as your device backup. Deleting the app deletes its data with it.
