Silo Bible is an offline-first Bible study app for iPhone. READ • Immersive serif reading in the Editorial Dark style — adjustable type size, typeface, and line height. • The World English Bible and Strong's Concordance are built in; open-licensed translations download once for offline use. TODAY • Follow local reading plans, recover one missed day, and inspect read-only completion history from earlier plans. • Memorize verses with private, on-device spaced repetition and optional generic reminders. STUDY • Tap any tagged word for its Hebrew or Greek lemma, transliteration, definition, KJV usage, and occurrences. • Keep highlights, typed or handwritten margin notes, bookmarks, and reading position locally. LISTEN • Use system voices or natural open-source Piper voices running entirely on-device. • Enter a distraction-free listen mode with word-synced highlighting, chapter controls, and a sleep timer. ASK • On supported Apple Intelligence devices, Bible Chat answers from installed translations with tappable verse citations. Unsupported devices show an honest availability explanation. PRIVATE BY ARCHITECTURE • No Silo account, analytics, or tracking. Reading, notes, plans, search, and on-device chat remain local. Optional Bring Your Own Key Bible Chat is off by default. After you confirm consent and save your own key, questions and retrieved scripture passages go directly to your chosen OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or OpenRouter account. The provider receives the request and handles it under its own privacy and retention policies. Keys are stored in the system Keychain and sent to that provider only to authenticate your requests. You can return to on-device chat at any time; local Ollama uses 127.0.0.1:11434. Optional translation and voice downloads contact public hosts, which receive ordinary request metadata; App Store updates and links you open can also use the network. PRICING • One-time purchase.
