Enter your latitude and site details once, and the geometry engine calculates every hour-line angle, gnomon height, sub-style position, and nodus distance to the precision your project demands. A printable build sheet with a complete angle table, materials list, and numbered construction steps is one tap away. The Workshop home screen keeps a live solar snapshot at your fingertips: current solar time, sun altitude and azimuth, the equation of time, solar noon on the clock, and today's readable hours visualised at a glance. The Field section puts practical measurement tools in your hands — find true north without a compass using the equal-shadows or noon-shadow method, solve your latitude from a simple shadow measurement, map your horizon profile to predict obstructions, and log the accuracy of finished dials in minutes of error. The built-in Gnomonics Primer teaches the theory behind every calculation through eight richly written lessons covering hour angles, solar declination, the equation of time, gnomon and nodus geometry, longitude correction, and the centuries-old craft of dial furniture and Latin mottoes. Quizzes after each lesson reinforce the concepts. A personal dial register lets you photograph and log both your own creations and historic dials you encounter in the field.
