Store description excerpt

Most calorie apps are an open-ended log you never finish. Shred is a challenge with a finish line: pick your length, pick your goal weight, and every screen answers one question — day 14 of 90, where do I stand? Shred has no subscription, no in-app purchase and no ads. There is no upsell screen, because there is nothing behind it. NO NUMBER WITHOUT A REASON • Your calorie budget is built from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, an activity multiplier and the pace you picked. Tap it and a sheet walks through the arithmetic, line by line. • Train hard and the budget moves. Shred credits what Apple Health measured against what your plan assumed — and once it has told you a number, it never quietly takes it back later in the day. • Protein, carbs and fat as rings against target. SEE THE TREND, NOT THE NOISE • Log your weight by dragging a dial that clicks as it turns. No keyboard, no text field. • A smoothed trend line runs through your daily weigh-ins, so one salty dinner doesn't read as a bad week. • A projection line shows where that trend meets your goal if you keep going at this rate. • A road of milestones is built from your own plan and pace, not a fixed list someone else wrote. THREE WAYS TO LOG A MEAL • Scan a barcode. The camera picks it up on its own and looks the product up in Open Food Facts. • Photograph the meal for an AI calorie and macro estimate.* Edit any number before you save it. • Type it in. Shred asks the food database first, then Apple's on-device model — which needs no account and never sends the name off your phone. Start typing something you logged before and it brings back the numbers you saved. *AI photo scan needs a Shred account and is limited to 5 scans in any 24 hours. Barcode scanning and typing keep working when they run out. THE WHOLE PICTURE, NOT JUST CALORIES • Water, tracked by tapping a glass that fills. • Workouts, and body measurements: chest, waist, hips, arms, thighs. • Daily progress photos, with side-by-side compare and zoom. • Stats: lost, to go, average calories, workouts, average water, best streak, a consistency heat map, daily calories against target and weekly summaries. • Drag the cards you actually use to the top of the dashboard. • When the last day lands, Shred stops counting and shows you the whole challenge — the dates, both ends of the scale, how you did — and a way to start the next one. WHAT SHRED DOESN'T DO • No coach, no meal plans, no recipes. • No social feed, no friends list, no leaderboard. • No fasting timer, no workout programs, no exercise library. • No subscription screen every third tap, because there is no subscription. • No Apple Watch app and no iPad app. It is built for iPhone only, so the layouts are designed for one screen rather than stretched to fit several. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS • Everything works without an account. Sign in with Apple or Google only if you want sync and backup across devices. • Progress photos never leave your phone. Meal photos are the only im
