Press ⌥⌘N. The note is already there. No launching. No loading. No hunting for a window. The panel is built and loaded before you touch the keyboard, so the note appears the instant the key goes down - and ⌥⌘0 makes it vanish just as fast. ⌥⌘L brings back the one you were just in. Press the same shortcut again to close it. WHAT IT DOES - Saves as plain .txt, named after the first line. Rewrite that line and the file is renamed. - Keeps the files in any folder you pick. Optional date at the front or the back: yyyyMMdd, ddMMyyyy or MMddyyyy. - Pins five existing text files to ⌥⌘1-⌥⌘5, one keystroke each. Edits are written straight back to the original, and its name never changes. - Floats above every window. Drag it anywhere; each slot remembers its own position and size. - Font, text size, line spacing, text color, background color. Every shortcut can be reassigned. - Lives in the menu bar. No Dock icon. No lists. No folders. No search. No account, no sync, no network requests. Just text files you own.
