Store description excerpt
settlme is an independent app and is not a government service. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Dutch government and does not act on behalf of any Dutch authority, including the IND, the Belastingdienst, DUO, the RDW, the CBR, the SVB, Logius (DigiD) or any gemeente. settlme does not provide, facilitate or submit applications for any government service. Only the responsible authority can decide your case, and its own decision is the one that counts. settlme turns Dutch immigration paperwork into one plain checklist, built from your permit type and nationality. WHAT'S INSIDE - Passport: every deadline in one place: BSN registration, DigiD, health insurance, your permit renewal, the 30% ruling, each showing the date that applies to you. - Checklist: a phased task list from your first week through your first 90 days, with dates worked out from your arrival date and your city's typical processing times. - The long view: your path to permanent residency and Dutch citizenship, with the published requirements laid out in advance. - Letter scanner: photograph a Dutch letter and get a plain-language summary, with any deadline or amount added to your checklist. Nothing is filed or submitted on your behalf. - Ask: a community going through the same paperwork, grouped by people who arrived around the same time as you. Answers come from other users and are not official advice. - Found for you: a running estimate of money the paperwork may owe you: cheaper insurance, zorgtoeslag eligibility and your 30% ruling value. Always estimates, never promises. - Life events: moved house, changed jobs, had a baby? Tell settlme what changed and it adds the tasks that follow. WHERE THE INFORMATION COMES FROM Every rule and deadline in settlme comes from the official sources below, each the responsible authority's own website: Rijksoverheid (Government of the Netherlands) — registering with your gemeente, the BRP, your BSN and compulsory Dutch health insurance: https://www.government.nl IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service) — residence permits and renewals, the orientation year, permanent residence and naturalisation: https://ind.nl Belastingdienst (Tax Administration) — income tax, the 30% ruling, the M-form return, and the zorgtoeslag and huurtoeslag allowances: https://www.belastingdienst.nl DUO (Education Executive Agency) — civic integration (inburgering) and student finance: https://duo.nl Logius — DigiD: https://www.digid.nl RDW (Netherlands Vehicle Authority) — exchanging a foreign driving licence: https://www.rdw.nl CBR — Dutch driving theory and practical exams: https://www.cbr.nl SVB (Social Insurance Bank) — child benefit (kinderbijslag): https://www.svb.nl Netherlands Labour Authority — working rights and employer obligations: https://www.nllabourauthority.nl BEING HONEST WITH YOU The legal 5-day window to register at the gemeente is real, but appointment availability in large cities routinely runs weeks, and settlme explains
