The TOTP Recovery Tool should only be used by IT and FSE personnel who have deployed the application on the POS device. This tool is specifically intended for situations where the POS system does not have network connectivity and users are unable to log in. Use this tool only as a last resort. It can be used even when the device time is incorrect by selecting the Custom Timeoption available above the logout screen on the home page where the username and password are displayed. If the TOTP Recovery Tool does not resolve the issue, perform an OS reinstallation. For the tool to function, either the Retail app or the Dine app must be present on the POS device which are release in the month of June or later. If neither application is available, OS reinstallation is the only recovery option.
