Most Quran apps scroll. Sercade turns pages — the same pages as the printed 604-page Medina mushaf, verse for verse. And it never shows you an ad while you are reading. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • True mushaf pagination. Every page begins and ends on the same verse as the printed Medina mushaf. You turn the page where your printed Quran turns. • Tajweed colouring with a legend. Seventeen rules, colour-coded in the text, with a key you can open at any time. • No ads in the Quran. Not in the mushaf, not in juz reading, not in khatm, not in bookmarks — regardless of whether you pay. No ads at launch, and none while a recitation is playing. • Nothing is sent to a server. Prayer times and qibla are computed on your device. REAL MUSHAF PAGES • Continuous Uthmani script with traditional verse-end rosettes • Ornate basmala and framed surah headings • Right-to-left page turning • The page fits the screen; pinch to zoom and scroll • Text grows in landscape • Juz, page number and surah shown on every page TAJWEED COLOURING Prolongations in the red family, darkening as they lengthen; ghunnah and idgham in green, ikhfa blue, iqlab purple, qalqalah pink. Silent letters are greyed out. You can switch to a verse-by-verse list view with translation and transliteration. PRAYER TIMES • Twelve calculation methods: Muslim World League, Egyptian General Authority, University of Karachi, Umm al-Qura, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore, Tehran, North America (ISNA), Moonsighting Committee and Turkey • Standard or Hanafi Asr • Computed on your device from your location • A notification at each prayer time, with a notification sound you choose • Adjustable early reminder and a silent option • Per-minute adjustment against your local timetable WIDGETS • The next prayer and the time left — on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen • The day's five times together, with the current one highlighted • A verse of the day, a hadith of the day and your dhikr count LISTENING TO THE QURAN • Ten reciters to choose from • A single verse or a whole surah, starting with the basmala • The verse being recited is highlighted and pages turn automatically • Recitation continues while the app is in the background ALSO INCLUDED • Juz-by-juz reading • Separate bookmarks and reading position for surah and juz • Qibla compass • Dhikr counter • Duas by category, hadiths, the 99 Names of Allah • Hijri calendar and holy days • Ramadan timetable and fasting tracker • Nearby mosques • Light and dark themes • iPad support OFFLINE USE Surahs you have opened once can be read offline. Duas, hadiths, the 99 Names and holy days are built into the app and need no connection at all. The Nearby Mosques screen sends your location to an Overpass API server to find mosques in OpenStreetMap data. It is the only feature that shares your location. PREMIUM Sercade is free. Premium removes the ads that appear outside the Quran, and adds extra mushaf themes and fonts, reading statistics and khatm tracking.
