Store description excerpt
Never buy a used e-scooter blind again. Stand next to it, tap Scan, and ScooterCheck reads the battery, motor, controller and fault registers straight off the scooter over Bluetooth, then tells you whether to buy it, look closer, or walk away. It is free, and there is nothing to buy. You get a plain-language verdict backed by a 0 to 100 health score and a ranked list of findings. FREE, WITH ADS The full inspection is free. Every report, every finding, the spec sheet and the shareable card. A short full-screen ad plays while your report is being prepared, and that is what pays for the app. No subscription, no in-app purchase, no account. Not sure it works with your scooter? Tap "See a sample report" on the first screen and look at a complete inspection first. WHAT IT CHECKS Battery: measured capacity against the model's design capacity (state of health), pack voltage at charge, cell temperature, charge level. Wear: calendar age from the detected model, total distance ridden. Faults: active error and warning codes, decoded to plain English. Configuration: speed limit, firmware version, showroom/demo-mode firmware. Drive electronics: motor and controller temperature. Every deduction shows the raw reading behind it. No black box. WHAT IT CATCHES Tired batteries. A pack at 62% of its design capacity is flagged with a rough replacement cost, so you know what you are negotiating over. Wound-back odometers. If measured battery wear does not match a suspiciously low mileage, the report says so, on brands where that is possible. Demo-mode firmware. Showroom mode quietly limits what the scooter will do. Invisible while riding, disqualifying if you are paying full price. Permanently restricted speed. On some hardware a lowered speed cap can never be raised again. Not a setting, but a permanent reduction in what you are buying. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT CAN'T SEE Every report carries a confidence rating: how much of the scooter actually answered. A scooter that hides data scores lower, not higher, because opacity is a finding too, and the report lists what it could not check. (The app is in seven languages; the detailed finding explanations are English only.) SUPPORTED SCOOTERS Verified on real hardware: Xiaomi M365, Pro, Pro 2, 1S, Lite (including newer Mi-Auth firmware) MiniRobot M0Robot (e.g. Sparke) Also supported, detected automatically on connect: Ninebot ES1, ES2, ES4 Segway-Ninebot MAX G30 and G2 (encrypted firmware) E-Wheels E2S, E2S V2, E7, E12, M6 KingSong "KS-…" Navee ST3 and ST3 Pro Minimotors: Dualtron, VSETT, Kaabo, Apollo Phantom Swagtron Swagger 5 VMAX VX2 Recognised but not inspectable: Xiaomi's newest scooters and newer E-Wheels models keep their data behind an encrypted or cloud-authenticated channel. The app names these when it sees them and says why, rather than spinning. FACTORY SPEC SHEET For 24 catalogued models, compare the scooter in front of you with the one that left the factory: capacity against design, top spee
