Got a message about a pending parcel, an unpaid fine, or a blocked account? Rexy checks the link before you tap it, and warns you if it is a scam. Scam messages work because acting safely requires suspecting first. Most people simply tap. Rexy does not wait for you to be suspicious — it checks on its own, in the background, and speaks up before your finger reaches the link. ■ How it works When a message with a link arrives, Rexy finds the link and checks it against current threat databases, including Google Safe Browsing. If the link is dangerous, a clear warning appears over your screen explaining exactly what looks wrong with it. You decide what to do next. Rexy never blocks or deletes anything — it warns, and the decision is always yours. ■ What Rexy warns about Rexy flags messages impersonating postal services, toll roads, banks and credit card companies, tax authorities, delivery firms and insurers — the organisations most commonly impersonated. It also catches signals that are hard to spot by eye: • Addresses nearly identical to the real site, with a single swapped letter • Shortened links that hide the real destination • Sites registered only days ago • Pages hosted on free platforms that scammers favour ■ Privacy — what matters Rexy checks only the link itself. It does not read, store or transmit your message content, your contacts, or any personal data. There are no user accounts, no sign-up, and no server-side data collection. Your scan history stays on your device and can be cleared at any time. ■ Permissions, and why they are needed Notification access — this permission lets Rexy see that a message with a link has arrived and extract that link for checking. Without it, automatic protection is not possible. It is used solely to find web addresses, never to read the text of your messages. Display over other apps — so the warning can appear above whichever app you are using at that moment. Both permissions are granted by you and can be revoked at any time in your device settings. ■ Who it is for Rexy is built for people who are not comfortable with technology. There is nothing to configure: install it, grant two permissions, and it runs on its own. If you have parents or grandparents who receive these messages every week, this is the app to install for them.
