Store description excerpt
Some children aren't ready to say the word yet. So the game waits for them. No timer. No wrong answer. Nothing moves until your child speaks. Then everything moves at once. A log rolls toward Pip and stops. Pip stops. The music keeps playing and the clouds keep drifting, but nothing else happens — not for three seconds, not for three minutes — until your child says JUMP out loud. Then Pip leaps, stars burst, and the meadow rolls on. That is the whole idea. Your child's voice is the controller. Nothing in SaySprout happens without a spoken word, and nothing bad ever happens without one. WHEN A CHILD GOES QUIET, THE GAME HELPS After a few seconds, a friendly coach asks, "Can you say JUMP?" A few seconds later, it says the word slowly and clearly, so your child can hear the shape of it. A few seconds after that, the game starts accepting rougher, braver attempts — because a wobbly "juh" is a real try. There is no fail state anywhere in SaySprout. No lives, no countdown, no red X, no buzzer. Only waiting, and then celebrating. WHAT'S INSIDE, FREE Word Dash — a runner where spoken words make Pip jump, duck, pop and zoom. Ten words, then a Word Party. I Spy — a meadow of sleeping things with the colour drained out. Your child names whatever they notice, and naming a thing wakes it up. No order, no wrong answers. Big Breath — the game that needs no words at all. Pip flies on any sound: a hum, an "aaah", one long breath. Louder lifts him, silence lets him drift gently down. Lessons — picture word packs ending in a "You passed!" certificate with your child's name on it. The Actions and Animals packs are free. AND ONE OPTIONAL UNLOCK, FOR GROWN-UPS SaySprout Premium opens the nine other games on the shelf — Café, Copy Pip, Magic, Feed, Garden, Story, Ladder, Sky Ride and Sleepy Bear — plus the Colors and Food word packs. It is a single one-time purchase behind a grown-up gate: no subscription, nothing recurring, no ads, and the free games stay free forever. A child who taps a locked tile only ever sees "Ask a grown-up." MADE FOR VERY SMALL PEOPLE Nothing to read. Every prompt is spoken aloud. Landscape and full screen, on iPhone and iPad. Big picture tiles, an optional slower pace, and no menu a three-year-old can get lost in. Word matching tuned for young voices, which do not sound like grown-up voices. WHAT GROWN-UPS DECIDE Voice only is the default — tapping never skips the speaking. If the microphone can't work, big tap buttons appear so nobody is ever stuck, and you can allow tapping any time in Grown-up settings. Accept close attempts — loosen matching for the youngest voices. Your own four practice words, typed in. Sound, celebration haptics, slower pace, and the name printed on the certificate. A quiet progress summary: words said, best voice streak, lessons passed. PRIVACY, STATED PLAINLY SaySprout has no networking code of its own. The only network activity is Apple's App Store handling the optional unlock. Speech recognition runs entirel
