Store description excerpt

São Benedito is a road transport company that has a modern fleet of buses that operate in several cities in Brazil. So, when purchasing a São Benedito bus ticket, passengers can count on all the comfort and safety of conventional vehicles. The conventional bus is the simplest vehicle model and is recommended for shorter trips. This is because it has 46 reclining seats at 35º, footrest and toilet. Viação São Benedito emerged in the 1960s and connects the interior of Ceará to the state capital, with an operation with more than 130 buses and responsible for transporting more than 500 thousand passengers per month. With coverage between the coast and interior of Ceará, the places with the highest flow of passengers will inevitably be the cities of Fortaleza and Aquiraz, in the interior of the state. Discover the history of Viação São Benedito The history of Viação São Benedito began in 1963, founded by Mr. Benedito, operating between the Ceará cities of Pacajus, Chorozinho, Caracanga, Telha, Ancuri, Jabuti and other locations. Between 1965 and 1971, the company expanded its operations and purchased new lines, this time connecting the capital Fortaleza to destinations such as Horizonte, Varzante, Tipuiu, Mangabeira, Aruaru, Pitombeira, Caracará, Batoque and Aroeiras. New acquisitions were made in the following years, with São Benedito selling tickets to several cities in the interior of the state. In 1986, Viação São Benedito expanded its services and also began operating in public transport in Fortaleza. In the 1990s, the company started to operate the route that connects Fortaleza to Porto das Dunas. The itinerary passed through the well-known Beach Park and connected the beach with the capital's seafront, being responsible for transporting thousands of tourists. In 1994, São Benedito also started selling bus tickets on the routes from Parangaba to Papicu and Antônio Bezerra to Papicu. The year 1995 was marked by a new layout in all São Benedito buses, with 10 new examples of the Galleggiante 3.40 model. The new identity was presented at a cocktail party at the headquarters of the Union of Passenger Transport Companies of the State of Ceará (Setpec). At the same time, Silvio Rui, the company's CEO, highlighted that this would be a new era, with investment in the Total Quality Program. Also in 1995, the São Benedito bus company began operating freight charters in the cities of Pacajus, Aquiraz and Horizonte. At that time, the company's fleet already had 100 vehicles, which operated in intercity, metropolitan and urban transport in Fortaleza. And the history of the road doesn’t stop! The bus company was the first to open an exclusive bus terminal in Fortaleza, in 1996. The buses that departed from the capital served numerous cities in Ceará, such as São Bento, Lagoa Canas, Iguape, Pacajus, Cascavel, Itaitinga, Jericoacoara, Horizonte, Chorozinho , among others. Between 1999 and 2001, Viação São Benedito acquired the lines of Viação Caponga
