Samskrita Bharati – Pashchim Maharashtra (PMH) is a regional branch of the national Samskrita Bharati movement, working tirelessly to revive and popularize the Sanskrit (Samskritam) language across Western Maharashtra. Guided by the national vision of “Reviving a language, rejuvenating a culture, rebuilding a nation that is Bharat,” the PMH team strives to make Sanskrit a living language spoken in homes, schools, and communities. Established under the inspiration of Samskrita Bharati (founded in 1981), our PMH branch coordinates activities across multiple districts in Western Maharashtra, with its main office located at Amod Ban Society, 409 A, Narayan Peth, Pune. Our Objectives Promote the study and daily use of Sanskrit among people of all ages and backgrounds. Coordinate Sanskrit education and cultural initiatives across districts in Western Maharashtra. Publish books and learning materials to make Sanskrit study accessible and enjoyable. Train teachers and volunteers to take Sanskrit to every village, school, and household. Collaborate with Sanskrit institutions for faster and more effective propagation of the language.
