Salvo Cove is a turn-based artillery duel fought by two pirate crews on a shipwrecked island. You command three buccaneers against three of the enemy's, and every turn gives one of them a single move and a single throw. Your pirates cannot walk. Instead you pull one back like a slingshot and fling him across the cove — over open water, onto a ledge, or straight into the enemy's face. The same drag aims your weapons: pull back, read the dotted arc, let go. Six throwables, each with its own trigger. Cannonballs and cherry bombs detonate the instant they touch anything. Banana bombs bounce and arm on proximity. Dynamite burns a fuse. Powder kegs have to be lit — and they do not care whose crew they hurt. Pieces of eight come back to you again and again. Damage falls off with distance, but it is the knockback that kills. Blast a pirate off a ledge and the sea finishes the job. Treasure chests drop from the sky carrying fresh ammunition, and the tide keeps creeping up, so the low ground will not stay safe for long.
