Store description excerpt
Sahaba is a calm, reading-first space for discovering the lives, lessons, and legacy of the Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (SAAW) — the women and men who lived with him, supported Islam, and carried its example forward. No ads. streaks. No notifications you didn't ask for. No noise. Save what moves you, and return when you're ready. WHAT'S INSIDE • 51 in-depth biographies of companions — women and men of early Islam • Hundreds of narrative story sections — real lives told as stories, not bullet points • 14 curated collections: The Ten Promised Paradise, Wives of the Prophet (SAAW), Companions of Badr, The Martyrs, People of Suffah, Migration to Abyssinia, and more • Browse by group — Rightly Guided Caliphs, Commanders, Scholars, the Sabiqun (foremost in faith), the Ansar, and the Sahabiyyat • Filter by quality — Mercy, Courage, Wisdom, Devotion, Generosity, and more • Daily reflections and sayings drawn from the companions READ THE WAY YOU WANT TO • A "Companion of the Day" to begin with each morning • Full-text search across names, lives, and what each is best known for • Bookmark the profiles that move you and pick up where you left off • Home-screen widgets: Companion of the Day and Daily Reflection • Optional daily reminder at a time you choose • Light, dark, and system appearance — with adjustable text size A RESPECTFUL APPROACH We favour clear, respectful prose over drama. We avoid visual depictions of prophets and companions — the artwork is subtle, atmospheric scenery (deserts, horizons, palm groves, night skies), never portraits. The profiles are written prose adaptations drawn primarily from Sheikh Omar Suleiman's lecture series The Firsts (Yaqeen Institute), which itself draws on classical works of seerah and history — Ibn Hisham, al-Tabari, Ibn Sa'd — alongside the authentic collections of Bukhari and Muslim, and the Qur'an. Sahaba is free, reverent, and made to be returned to. We hope it brings their lives a little closer.
