Sagar Prahari turns beach cleanups into a coastal litter database, one photograph at a time. Volunteers join cleanups at listed beaches, photograph the litter they collect, and log it spot by spot. Every submission adds to a shared picture of marine litter along India's coastline — what kinds, in what quantities, and where. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Find cleanups near you Browse participating beaches and pick the one you are going to. • Log litter as you collect it Photograph each spot, record what you found, and submit it in a few taps. • Automatic litter identification Photographs are analysed to suggest what category of litter they show, so you spend your time collecting rather than classifying. • See your impact Track the spots you have logged and the cleanups you have joined. WHY IT MATTERS Marine litter is easy to describe and hard to measure. Counts of what actually washes up, recorded by the people picking it up, are worth more than estimates. Every logged spot is one more real observation. BEFORE YOU START • Location is used to confirm you are at the beach you are logging, and to show nearby cleanup spots. It is used only while the app is open. • The camera is used to photograph litter. Photographs you submit are analysed using AI to identify the type of litter, and are stored to support marine litter monitoring and research. They are never used for advertising. • You sign in with your mobile number, which is used for sign-in and event updates only. • You can delete your account at any time from inside the app. Litter figures shown in the app are compiled from volunteer submissions. They are not official measurements.
