Store description excerpt

Photograph your plate. Sabzy names the dish and returns calories, protein, carbs, fat and fiber in a couple of seconds — no search box, no scales, no hunting through a database. IT SHOWS ITS WORKING Most calorie apps ask you to take a number on faith. Sabzy tells you where the number came from. Food figures are backed by USDA FoodData Central, and a sources screen inside the app lays out every formula it uses and why that one: Mifflin-St Jeor for your resting burn, the Atwater factors for calories from macronutrients, World Health Organization bands for BMI, EFSA intakes for water. Accuracy is published with its sample, not just its best number. Against Nutrition5k — 62 dishes with every ingredient weighed on a scale — the photo estimate is 81 kcal from the reference value on average, and half the dishes land inside 41 kcal. The mean is pulled up by a minority of hard plates; the median is the half that describes an ordinary day. It is an estimate, and the app says so. It is not a measurement of your food. FOUR WAYS TO LOG • Photo — one shot of the plate • Voice — say what you ate • Barcode — packaged food, read straight off the label • Eaten before A food you have logged before comes back instantly from the on-device cache. YOUR DAY, AND THE MONTHS AROUND IT • Calories left today, and the macro split behind them • Weight log, BMI, and a weight-against-intake chart • Water, daily targets, and a logging streak • Apple Health both ways: meals and weigh-ins go out, active energy comes back • 15 languages in the app Sign in with Apple or Google, and your log follows you to any phone. Meals, photos and weigh-ins stay yours. SABZY PRO • 50 AI scans a day, against 3 for the whole of the free app • AI notes on your day and your week, with an alert only when there is something worth saying • Your whole log backed up to iCloud, so it follows you to a new phone $14.99 a year — about $1.25 a month — or $2.49 a month, with a 3-day free trial on the yearly plan. TEAM • One plan for a group — Team 5, Team 10 or Team 30 — and every member gets Premium • A six-character code to join, a leaderboard and a Today list to keep each other honest • A coach's note every week, written from the team's own figures: who ate to their goal, who went over, and what to do about it • Member pages with 30 days of meals, macros, water, steps and weight trend Team plans: Team 5 at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, Team 10 at $14.99 a month or $149.99 a year, Team 30 at $44.99 a month or $449.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on Team 10 and Team 30. One team plan covers every member. SUBSCRIPTION Sabzy Pro and the Team plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period.
