Upload completion is treated as one step, not proof that recovery is complete. - OpenWrt / ImmortalWrt TFTP: keep the proven passive TFTP flow and wait for a real router request before sending firmware. - TP-Link Web Recovery: run local GET-only checks for common recovery addresses, review page evidence, then open the router recovery page for manual browser upload. - Netgear NMRP Guide: open the NMRP recovery guide when a Netgear model is more likely to need NMRP than standard TFTP. - Advanced TFTP Request Mode: use this advanced path only when you already know the model requests firmware from a TFTP server. Router Recovery focuses on preparation, local evidence, safer firmware checks, transfer state, waiting guidance, and post-upload verification. It does not promise universal compatibility, automatic TP-Link browser upload, in-app Netgear NMRP recovery, preserved settings, or guaranteed success after a transfer.
