Store description excerpt
Roomie is where conversations happen out loud. Drop into a live audio room, chat in public rooms, DM your people, or ask an expert a question - all in one app. LIVE AUDIO ROOMS Open a room and start talking. No scheduling, no setup. Listeners can raise a hand to ask for the mic, and hosts can promote anyone to speaker, bring the whole room up at once, or hand the floor to someone new. Join to speak, or just listen in. PUBLIC AND PRIVATE CHAT ROOMS Build a room around anything: a city, a hobby, a project, a group of friends. Public rooms are discoverable by everyone in the community. Private rooms are invite-only, so add members by username or send an invite by email. DIRECT MESSAGES Private one-to-one conversations with anyone you meet in a room. LIVE POLLS Ask the room a question and watch the results come in as people vote. VOICE NOTES, PHOTOS AND GIFS Say it out loud with a voice message, share a photo, or drop the perfect GIF from the built-in picker. EXPERT Q&A ROOMS Ask a host a question in a private space and get an answer back in their own voice. Only you and the host ever see your question, and you can ask anonymously. FIND YOUR PEOPLE See who's active right now and discover members near you on the map. SAFETY FIRST Report or block anyone, any time. Rooms are moderated, and you leave whenever you want. Roomie is free to join, and you can look around as a guest before you sign up. Come for one conversation, stay for the room.
