Residence Tracker counts the days you spend in every country and watches the limits: Schengen 90/180, visa-free rules, visas and residence permits, tax-residency thresholds. HISTORY ON DAY ONE, NOT IN SIX MONTHS Most trackers are useless the day you install them. This one rebuilds your past trips from the date and geotag of your own photos. We read metadata only — the images are never opened or uploaded, and countries are resolved offline. WE COUNT THE WAY THE BORDER COUNTS • A border-crossing day counts for both countries • Inside the Schengen area such a day counts once • Gaps between tracked days are filled in automatically • The counting model is stated out loud: any part of a day counts REAL RULES, NOT JUST "183" • Rolling windows: Schengen 90/180, Georgia 365/365, UK 180/365 • Per-entry allowances: Thailand, UAE, Mexico, Japan • Calendar and offset tax years: UK from 6 April, India from 1 April • US substantial presence test, Irish 280 days over two years TAX RESIDENCY IS A STATUS, NOT A VIOLATION 183 days in a country where you hold a permit is not an overstay. We show it as a separate informational card instead of a red alarm. VISAS AND PERMITS A visa's validity and its allowed stay are different things: it can be valid for a year while permitting only 90 days. A Schengen visa covers the whole area; a Schengen residence permit drops that country out of the zone limit. A FORECAST, NOT JUST A COUNTER How long you may still stay in one go, when days free up, the first date you would break a rule. The planner checks a future trip before you book. PRIVACY Your location is never uploaded. No ads. No account. History stays on your device; syncing goes through your own iCloud. FREE FOREVER Automatic day counting, full history for any year, import from Photos, manual entry of past trips. PREMIUM World map, limit and visa notifications, visas and multiple citizenships, planner and custom rules, PDF and CSV export, iCloud sync. Monthly or yearly, plus a one-time lifetime option.
