Resilience Coach [ResCo] ResCo is a mobile training tool [an adjunct to Resilience classroom training] developed to improve short-term performance and long-term mental health outcomes. Resilience training provides the tools and resources required to manage and support NZDF member, family members and general public. This training is layered and tailored to meet the relevant demands and responsibilities of NZDF personnel encounter at each stage of their career and while on deployment. Going beyond the Classroom Recognising the repeated application and practice of mental skills in the training environment improves retention and effectiveness, the Resilience program has expanded training beyond the classroom environment. This includes providing personal training tools directly to NZDF members by developing a mobile application, improving the ability of NZDF course instructors to coach mental skills in regular training activities, and improving the ability of the NZDF leadership to mentor these skills through the career cycle.
