Store description excerpt
REQ is a request management tool for DJs playing live. Instead of people shouting at the booth mid-mix, your crowd scans a QR code you display and sends a request from a web page. Nothing to install on their side, no account. It lands on your phone, and you handle it from one screen, in the two seconds you get between two mixes. WHAT A REQUEST LOOKS LIKE The track title, the artist when it was typed in, and the amount attached to it, read-only. If the person left a first name, you see it. If they already sent one tonight, the card tells you it is their second, or their third. They can also attach one short word, up to 140 characters. One word, not a conversation: there is no thread, no reply box on their side, and it is gone with the night. THREE BUTTONS Pass, and the request is closed. Accept, and the track drops into your "to play" queue right under the inbox. Or accept and charge nothing at all: the track still joins your queue, the authorization on the card is released, and the person is told you are covering it. Nothing enters your set without your yes. The amount is only authorized when the request is sent: accepting collects it, passing releases the authorization. That call is made on our servers, never inside the app. A countdown on each card shows how long you have left to decide. It turns red under five minutes. YOU ANSWER WITHOUT A KEYBOARD After you decide, a sheet opens with phrases you wrote at home, at your own pace. One tap sends one. Write "{prenom}" in a phrase and it is replaced by the person's first name — or it disappears cleanly if they did not leave one. You can also tap "no reply" and move on. Your answer appears within seconds on the page they kept open. That page is the only channel back to them, and it is the whole point: a no is no longer a silence. YOU STAY IN CONTROL OF WHAT YOU RECEIVE Anything the crowd writes goes through a term filter before it ever reaches you. If something gets through anyway, one tap reports it: the word leaves your inbox and does not come back. And a single switch in Settings turns the whole thing off — the field stops being offered to the crowd entirely. YOU DON'T MISS ONE A push notification hits your phone on every incoming request, with the track, the artist and the amount. The inbox also refreshes itself every 10 seconds and vibrates when something new lands. YOUR QR, READY FOR THE BOOTH A full-screen QR with a headline sized to be read from two metres away, in the dark, and a language switch for the room that does not change the language of your app. The link is copyable in one tap. The app also renders twelve ready-made visuals: three print formats and three social formats, each in French and in English. WHAT YOU KEEP TRACK OF A history of everything you decided on. And three figures on their own screen: today, this month, all time, shown net of the 20% REQ keeps on an accepted request. SET UP ONCE Sign in with your email and a one-time code. No password.
