Rentul is where people on your campus rent gear to each other. Need a snowboard for a Big Bear trip, a suit for a formal, a tent for the weekend, or a camera for a shoot? Borrow it from someone nearby instead of buying it — and if your own gear is sitting in a closet, list it and earn while it's idle. HOW IT WORKS • Browse and search listings near you, by category or by name. • Book instantly, or send a request the owner approves — you'll see the exact days and price first. • Pay securely in the app. Your card is authorized when you book and charged at pickup; the owner is paid to their own account. • Message the owner in the app to arrange the hand-off. • Confirm pickup, then confirm the return when you bring it back. • Leave a review afterward. WHAT IT COSTS Rentul charges a service fee to both the renter and the owner. The fee is tiered — a higher rate on small rentals, stepping down as the rental grows — and a $3 minimum applies. You always see your total (and, as an owner, your payout) before you confirm, and the amount shown is the amount charged. Rentals are billed by the day, counted inclusively — a Saturday-to-Sunday rental is 2 days. WHAT RENTUL IS — AND ISN'T Rentul is a venue that connects renters and owners. Every rental is an agreement directly between the two people involved. Please read this before you rent or lend: • No security deposit. Rentul does not take or hold a deposit. • No damage coverage and no insurance of any kind, for either side. • No claims process. Rentul does not investigate or reimburse damage, loss, theft, or no-shows. • No student or ID verification, and no "verified" badge. Campus is self-declared. If something goes wrong, it's between you and the other person to resolve. Meet in a safe public place, inspect the item before you accept it, agree on condition and return, and keep your own records. Your protection is your own judgment — Rentul doesn't provide one.
