Store description excerpt
Remotely is a fast, easy, and free way to get started making your home more energy efficient. A companion tool for ClearlyEnergy’s Energy Estimator, Remotely helps you conduct a virtual home energy audit on your own home. During the audit, you’ll collect information about your home to inform Energy Estimator’s estimates and recommendations, which will help start you down the right path to improving your home’s energy efficiency — making your home greener and more comfortable, and saving you time and money. Conducting a virtual home energy audit with Remotely is quick and simple, with in-app guidance to help you every step of the way. Remotely will walk you through filling in some information about your home’s construction and building materials, measuring its stories and windows using our easy point-and-click measuring tools, and providing some details about and photos of your water heater, HVAC systems, and solar panels. Once you’ve completed an audit of your home with Remotely, you’ll receive a custom home energy label through Energy Estimator, with an estimate of your home’s energy performance, a breakdown of its energy usage, personalized retrofit and upgrade recommendations, and links to relevant professionals, programs, rebates, and incentives. In some regions, you’ll also have access to a pool of participating contractors, who can support you with the virtual audit process or help you take the next steps towards a full in-home audit or getting started with retrofits.
