Recoila Hose Reel Calculator is a purpose-built tool for anyone specifying, supplying or installing hose reels — manual or powered. Instead of working from printed capacity charts or manual calculations, the app lets you work directly with the numbers that matter: hose outside diameter, hose length, drum diameter, flange diameter and drum width. From these it calculates hose capacity, reel dimensions and remaining drum space, so you can confirm a reel is fit for purpose before you order or install it. For powered reels, the motor torque calculator determines the drive torque required to rewind the hose, accounting for hose weight and the change in effective radius between a full and an empty drum. This lets you size a hydraulic, pneumatic or electric drive correctly the first time — avoiding both an undersized motor that stalls under load and an oversized one that adds unnecessary cost.
