Recce is a field notebook for wildlife and landscape photographers — a place to scout locations and record what you find, so you can return and photograph it properly. It's built for the trip before the trip: finding the spot, reading the conditions, and knowing exactly what you found and where. ORGANISED BY LOCATION Save a note and Recce groups it into a Site automatically from its GPS position, suggesting a name from the nearby national park, reserve or suburb. Add your own Folders too — a note can live in both. TAG EVERY SIGHTING Every photo you take becomes its own record. Tag each one with what you found — wildlife or landscape, the group or type, an optional name, and a note — right after you take it, or any time later. Can't identify it in the field? Mark it "Unidentified" and refine it when you're home. Nothing slows you down. FIND YOUR WAY BACK Every photo remembers exactly where you took it. Come back weeks later and navigate straight to the precise spot — the nesting tree, the vantage point, the foreground rock — in Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze. FIND ANY SUBJECT AGAIN Filter and search by subject and Recce looks inside every photo, not just the note — so you can pull up everywhere you've found a particular subject across all your scouting. DICTATE IN THE FIELD Cold hands? Speak your notes. Recce transcribes with on-device speech recognition, so your voice never leaves your phone. RETURN AT THE RIGHT TIME Great light and wildlife are seasonal. Set annual revisit reminders so you come back when conditions are right — on the shoot date, or a season later. SEE IT ON THE MAP The Globe view maps your notes on a satellite map. Tap one to reveal each geotagged photo as its own pin, so you can see exactly where every subject was. NOTHING LOST BY ACCIDENT Deleted something by mistake? A quick undo catches it, and everything stays recoverable for 30 days in Recently Deleted.
